Privacy policy.

Information about personal details shared with Earn The Weekend, and how to ask questions or exercise your privacy rights.

01 / Who this policy covers

Sean McMahon operates Earn The Weekend (ETW) and is the contact for questions about personal information handled through earntheweekend.co and ETW enquiries. Email EarnTheWeekend@outlook.com.

This policy covers the ETW website, customer accounts and communications about individual sessions. It does not replace the privacy notices of external email, payment or video services you choose to use.

02 / Information you provide

The information involved depends on how you interact with ETW. You do not need to create an account to submit an enquiry.

  • Enquiries: your name, email address, message and enquiry topic. Session enquiries can also include a selected package and your city or time zone.
  • Accounts: email address and account sign-in information, including information needed for password recovery.
  • Booking correspondence: scheduling details, the agreed service and communications you send about it.
  • Session conversations: whatever you choose to discuss. Avoid sending detailed health records, identity documents, payment-card details or sensitive information about others through the enquiry form.
  • Payment and refund correspondence, where a paid booking is arranged: information needed to identify the transaction and resolve a payment question. Card details should go only through the designated payment service, not to ETW by email.

03 / Why information is used

Details provided through the site are used to respond to your request, administer your account, arrange and deliver an agreed session, communicate about changes, handle complaints or refund requests, and manage records relevant to those interactions.

Information may also be relevant to protecting account access, investigating misuse and meeting applicable legal obligations. An enquiry is not, by itself, permission to publish your story or send unrelated promotional emails.

Where local law requires a legal basis for processing, it depends on the activity: steps you request before a booking or performance of an agreement, applicable legal obligations, a legitimate interest subject to your rights, or consent where required. You may ask us which basis applies to a particular use.

04 / Service providers and disclosure

Website hosting, account access, stored enquiries and email communications involve service providers. If payment or a video call is arranged through an external provider, its own privacy notice applies to the information it receives. Ask ETW which provider will be used before proceeding if that matters to you.

Information relevant to an enquiry or booking may be accessed by Sean and people authorised to help administer ETW. Disclosures may also be necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to a lawful request or address a dispute. This policy does not authorise public use of identifiable session stories without separate permission.

Your bank or payment processor may hold financial information under its own obligations. This website’s enquiry form is not a payment form and does not request full payment-card information.

05 / Browser storage and technical information

Customer sign-in uses browser storage to maintain account access. Removing this storage or blocking it may sign you out or affect account functions. You can manage cookies and site data in your browser settings.

Hosting and other online service providers may process connection or diagnostic information as part of operating their services. Ask us about the providers used if you need further detail. This policy is not a statement that optional analytics or advertising tracking is enabled; any future use that requires consent must be explained before that use begins.

06 / International services

ETW offers conversations worldwide, and Sean is based in Tokyo for his playing career. Depending on the providers and participants involved, communications and service data may be handled in countries other than your own.

If you need information about a particular provider’s processing location or an international transfer, contact us before submitting sensitive information. Applicable privacy-law requirements remain relevant; this policy does not itself establish a particular transfer mechanism or certification.

07 / Records and security

Different records may need different retention periods depending on the enquiry, booking, account, dispute or applicable legal obligation. Contact us to ask how long a particular record is kept or to request deletion. A request may be limited by records that must lawfully be retained; we will explain an applicable reason rather than treating deletion as automatic in every case.

No internet service can promise absolute security. Keep your credentials private, avoid unnecessary sensitive information and tell us promptly if you suspect your account or information has been misused. This policy does not promise a security certification or a particular technical safeguard.

08 / Your choices and requests

Email EarnTheWeekend@outlook.com to ask about your information, request access, correct inaccurate details or request deletion of your account or enquiry information. We may ask for proportionate information to confirm that the request is yours; do not send identity documents unless specifically needed and an appropriate method has been agreed.

Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to object to a use, restrict processing, receive portable information or withdraw consent. Withdrawing consent does not retrospectively invalidate a lawful earlier use. Some rights have legal exceptions and response deadlines; we will consider your request under the law that applies.

You can choose not to submit optional information. If information needed to respond or deliver a requested service is withheld, that may limit what ETW can provide. You may unsubscribe from any future promotional communications without preventing necessary messages about an active booking.

09 / Young people and third-party information

If a young person’s enquiry or booking requires a parent’s or guardian’s involvement under applicable law, that adult should contact ETW to arrange it. Do not submit another person’s sensitive details without appropriate authority.

If you believe information about a child has been submitted without appropriate permission, contact us so the circumstances and any necessary action can be reviewed.

10 / Complaints and policy updates

If you have a privacy concern, email EarnTheWeekend@outlook.com, explain what happened and tell us the resolution you are seeking. You may also contact the relevant privacy regulator where applicable; this does not depend on first accepting ETW’s proposed resolution.

This policy may be updated as services or requirements change. The revised date will appear on this page. A new policy does not override an existing legal obligation or supply consent for a new use that requires your permission.
